They will offer you a chance to buy the salvaged bike back for yourself at a percentage of its value, let’s say 1k. If you were to except this offer they would send you a check for 4k and you keep the wrecked bike. If you chose not to accept the offer, you would get a check for 5k and they will keep the salvaged bike.
